Viva Performing Arts Center has been the leading dance studio, for Tucson’s southside, for over 23 years. We offer dance classes from ages 3 through young adult. Viva Performing Art Center is a dance and music school that teaches a variety of dance forms, such as: Mexican Folklorico, Ballet Tap & Jazz, Hip-Hop, Voice and Zumba Fitness. Viva Performing Arts Center’s Staff use a professional and caring approach to ensure quality dance education. We recognize our role in the development of our young dancers and our commitment to provide a positive environment for our families. We strive to make dance an exciting, rewarding, creative and enjoyable experience for each student.

Julie Gallego is he founder of VIVA Performing Arts Center and has over 30 years of experience in Mexican Folklorico dance. Her qualified staff of folklorico instructors provide authentic Mexican folk dance lessons, from various regions of Mexico for all ages and levels of experience.
VIVA Performing Arts Center offers Hip Hop dance lessons by some of Tucsonís leading Hip Hop choreographers. Our Hip Hop classes focus on building upper body strength and proper weight control. With the integration of R&B, street jazz and different styles of Hip Hop. The classes are fun, positive and an energetic experience.
Since all dance technique comes from balletís classical training and exercise, we consider it a fundamental building block of your childís dance education. As it strengthens and tones young bodies, it builds lifetime discipline, develops greater concentration and challenges creativity while imparting a confidence and poise that will be a part of their personalities as they grow and mature.
ZUMBA is a fusion of Latin and International music - dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Zumba utilizes the principles of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning. It is a mixture of body sculpting movements with easy to follow dance steps.
